Steamed Beef With Cream Of Rice

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, sliced 2-inch x 1-inch x 1/8-inch
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry wine
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground aniseed
- 1 cup cream of rice
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- parsley, for garnishing
Recipe
- 1 marinate beef in soy sauce, sherry, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
- 2 mix cream of rice cereal, brown sugar and ground anise.
- 3 coat beef with cream of rice mixture.
- 4 place meat in a bowl; place bowl in steamer.
- 5 steam 2 hours.
- 6 garnish with parsley.
- 7 serve hot.
- 8 note: i have no idea how many this serves so i'm guessing maybe 6 as part of a chinese meal.
