Low Fat Ras Malai

Ingredients
- 1 cup non-fat powdered milk
- 2 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 liter 1% low-fat milk
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1 green cardamoms (chhoti ilaichi)
- 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios (pistay)
- 1/2 teaspoon kewra essence
Recipe
- 1 mix together the first 4 ingredients into a dough and form into small oval, slightly flattened balls.
- 2 meanwhile boil the milk with sugar and cardamom seeds.
- 3 when the milk starts to boil add the malai/ milk powder balls.
- 4 when they start to swell up lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes.
- 5 just before removing from heat add kewra essence.
- 6 garnish with pistachios.
- 7 chill and serve.
