Miso Soup

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 3 tablespoons miso
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup med firm tofu, small cubed
  • 1 package instant dashi stock
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 small fried bean curd (these come in packages of 2 small patties, in the frozen section)

Recipe

  • 1 add soup stock to 8 cups of water in a large saucepan.
  • 2 bring to a boil, then lower heat to let very gently simmer.
  • 3 in the meantime, pour boiling water from a kettle over the fried bean curd to take some of the oil off.
  • 4 take bean curd, chop into very small pieces.
  • 5 put miso into seperate bowl; pour some of stock into bowl and let miso dissolve, then pour back into saucepan.
  • 6 (do not let miso boil) add green onion, bean curd, and tofu to saucepan, then let sit a few minutes.
  • 7 enjoy!
