Roll-less Spring Roll Fresh South East Asian-flavored Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 green onion, julienned
  • 1/4 cup bean sprouts (1 handful)
  • 1/4 cup fresh raw papaya, julienned (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves (1 handful)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (1 handful)
  • 1/4 cup fresh thai basil (1 handful) (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • favorite hot sauce, such as sriracha (to taste) (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 mix carrots, green onions, bean sprouts, and papaya (if using) in a small bowl.
  • 2 coarsely chop mint, cilantro, and basil and add to rest of salad.
  • 3 in a small bowl or cup, mix hoisin sauce and rice vinegar. pour over salad and serve immediately.
