Middle Eastern Kebabs

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup finely minced onion
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried mint
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 lemon, juice of
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)
Recipe
- 1 combine all ingredients in a bowl and let rest in the refrigerator for about a half an hour.
- 2 form into sausage like shapes and thread onto skewers.
- 3 heat oil on griddle over medium heat and fry the kebabs, turning until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes depending on thickness.
- 4 alternatively, you can grill the skewers (be sure to soak the skewers first if they are made of bamboo).
- 5 serve with lebne (cucumber, yogurt and mint sauce), or sliced cucumbers and tomatoes.
