Grilled Sriracha-sesame Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon finely minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon finely minced fresh ginger
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 -3 green onions, sliced very thin
- 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2-3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 -3 tablespoons sriracha asian garlic sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- sliced green onion, and sesame seeds for garnishing (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat the grill to medium-high. oil the grill grates or a grill pan.
- 2 put the ground turkey, egg, panko, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, cilantro, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, sriracha and salt into a bowl and with a gentle hand, combine until all ingredients are well distributed into the meat. mixture should be fairly soft. form into about 20 meatballs.
- 3 if using a grill pan, pre-heat for 5 minutes before placing on the meatballs. grill meatballs until they are cooked through, turning every 5-7 minutes until all sides are browned. total cooking time will be about 30 minutes or slightly less if you're cooking the meatballs directly on the grill.
- 4 serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
