Minced Beef And Spinach Curry

Ingredients

- 500 g extra lean ground beef
- 500 g frozen spinach
- 1 large onion
- 4 -5 garlic cloves
- 1 scotch bonnet pepper
- 1 (14 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons coriander seeds
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Recipe
- 1 chop the onion and crush the garlic. slice the scotch bonnet into thin slivers and chop these finely.
- 2 heat the oil in a deep-sided frying pan/skillet and cook the onions, garlic and pepper until soft. add the minced beef and brown off.
- 3 place the balls of frozen spinach into the pan on top of the beef. cover and cook on a medium heat until spinach is softened. stir thoroughly.
- 4 add the cinnamon, coriander, cumin and garam masala. stir thoroughly to blend in spices, then add the chopped tomato.
- 5 increase heat and cook until the sauce reduces and thickens. add salt to taste.
