Hot Thai Mussels

Ingredients
- Servings: 2
- 1 lb mussels
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaf, chopped
- 6 thai red chili peppers, finely chopped (or 2 jolokia peppers)
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemongrass, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup water
Recipe
- 1 clean and debeard mussels.
- 2 cook mussels on hickory bbq until open.
- 3 discard any unopened mussels.
- 4 set aside cooked mussels.
- 5 heat oil in saute pan.
- 6 add onion and garlic to oil until golden.
- 7 add lemongrass, fish sauce, water, salt and chile peppers.
- 8 simmer for 5 minutes.
- 9 add mussels and basil to mix.
- 10 stir until hot and serve.
