Rice Pudding

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 3/4 cup minute rice
  • 2 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Recipe

  • 1 combine minute rice, milk, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla and nutmeg in a greased 1 quart baking dish. (i added my almonds and cardamom pods here.)
  • 2 bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  • 3 stir after 15 minutes and again when pudding is done.
  • 4 then sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar.
  • 5 serve warm or chilled.
  • 6 the pudding will thicken as it stands.
