Ingredients

- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup currants
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron thread
Recipe
- 1 saute onions in oil until golden.
- 2 add all other ingredients and simmer covered until all liquid is absorbed, about 12-15 minutes.
- 3 serve.
