Mayizli Palov

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 150 g raisins (5-6 oz)
  • 350 g vegetable oil
  • 3 -4 onions, sliced
  • 800 g carrots, sliced (28 oz)
  • 1 kg rice (2 1/4 lb)
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl, cover raisins in water.
  • 2 in a large saucepan, heat oil to very hot.
  • 3 sear onions until reddish-brown.
  • 4 then lower heat slightly, add carrot strips and cook until golden.
