Kandhe Ki Roti - Mummy's Favourite Onion Paratha

Ingredients
- 3 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 big green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup gram flour
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, washed and chopped
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 -3 tablespoons oil, for kneading
- water, as required, for kneading the dough
- 3 tablespoons oil, for cooking the parathas on either side
Recipe
- 1 knead the first nine ingredients together.
- 2 pinch off even-sized balls of the dough to make parathas.
- 3 use a rolling pin to roll out the parathas.
- 4 heat a griddle on the stove top.
- 5 cook the paratha on either side on the griddle.
- 6 transfer to a plate and serve hot with a cup of hot indian chai (tea).
