Peanut Barfi

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 250 ml milk (about 1 cup)
  • 200 g khoya (about 1 cup)
  • 6 (150 g) tablespoons sugar
  • grated pistachios, for garnish
  • edible silver foil, for garnish

Recipe

  • 1 put peanuts in a pan and stir fry till slightly brown and the skin begins to peel off.
  • 2 remove from pan.
  • 3 put into a blender and make a powder out of it.
  • 4 put the peanut powder into a wok alongwith milk.
  • 5 cook till slightly thick.
  • 6 add khoya and mix.
  • 7 once thick, add the sugar.
  • 8 keep stirring on low flame for 15-20 minutes.
  • 9 garnish with pistachios and serve on a tray!
